About Us

The T-House is all about Collaboration, Co-creation, and Community.

It is primarily here to serve the community of Matong, whose ideas are like minded.

At a practical level, It collects local organic waste distributes eggs, and builds a nursery for a community garden

It is a learning space, where we learn by doing.

T-House offers three areas of participation.

  • Plant Makers - A community garden designed on the tenants of permaculture
  • Food Makers - A vegetarian kitchen stocked with food purchased from ethical, sustainable sources (Low Food Miles)
  • Tech Makers - A supportive environment for hardware, software, and mechanical enquiries

T-House is a Burner-inspired, radically inclusive environment. We invite everyone to get involved.

The local version of Burning Man is Burning Seed

So, whether you live in the region or are simply passing through, come and say Hi.

Getting to the T-House

T-House is creating a shared garden as an ongoing project. Focusing on whicker gardening and utilising IBC's in creative ways. We hope to be able to  grow a wide range of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices reducing current fuel miles and time units to secure healthy food.

We have a focus on Nutrition, Tech, Arts, Sustainability, Community Living, Process, Documentation, Self Expression, Radical Inclusion &

Sourcing Local.
Check out the T-House Principles inspired by the Burning Man culture. We integrate these principles in everyday living whether through lifestyle choices or ongoing projects on site.

The goals are: to become increasingly self sustainable.
To raise interest and knowledge of permaculture design in outside the garden
Developing open spaces, which promote good nutrition in a sustainable way.

We work together  around the T-House and your welcome to drop in and lend a hand,
there is always something to do at the T-House

Shape Of Silence, by Kent Nerburn

The silence is profound this morning. It is not portentous; there seems to be nothing in the waiting. It is a gentle silence, liquid and pastel, a shimmer on still waters.
